Paul B. Bell
Paul B. Bell, Jr. graduated from Charlotte Country Day School and Wofford College. He earned his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1979 where he was a member of the Law Review. Paul began his career in the shopping center industry on the retail side by selecting sites, negotiating leases and opening new stores for Family Dollar Stores and later Shoe Show. Paul joined Waters, Inc. in 1984 to develop neighborhood grocery anchored centers. Later he was a partner with Faison Associates where he developed over 2.5 million square feet of community and power centers in three states. Paul formed Capstone Property Group in 1998 with two partners from High Point to develop freestanding retail buildings, neighborhood shopping centers and mixed use projects. Capstone also acquired and renovated existing properties with a concentration in furniture showrooms. Paul is experienced in all aspects of commercial development including site acquisition and entitlement, financing, construction and anchor tenant negotiation for projects ranging from freestanding drug stores to big box retailers.
Paul is a licensed broker in North Carolina and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) where he was State Director for NC and SC. Paul enjoys traveling with his family, playing golf and involvement with his church.
