Steven G. Harris
Steve Harris, a lifelong resident of Charlotte, attended public schools in Charlotte and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1975. Steve has been a principal owner of his own real estate firm since college graduation. Throughout his career Steve has focused on retail, office, build-to-suits, re-adaptive use, residential land development and urban mixed use projects. Recently, Steve and his associates have become one of Charlotte's leaders of transit oriented development along the Southern Corridor Light Rail Line. Harris Development Group, LLC is also actively developing residential and mixed use projects in Asheville and Cashiers, North Carolina.
Harris Development Group, LLC has developed over sixty build-to-suits in over twenty states and provides real estate consulting services for regional and national clients nationwide. Representative clients include Sunbelt Rentals, AAA of the Carolinas, The Melting Pot Restaurants, Outback Steakhouse, Ryan Homes, David Weekly Homes and the Gandy Communities.
Steve is a member of the Charlotte Regional Commercial Board of Realtors, the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and International Council of Shopping Centers. Steve is also a member of the North Carolina State Board of Advisors for LifeSpan, and sits on the Board of Charlotte Center City Partners.
